Facial treatments at Pure Beauty Clinic

Anti-Aging Electrical Facial -Reverse the signs of ageing using state of the art electrical facials. We use two different type of anti-aging electrical machines that are very effective anti-aging treatments.  Micro-current (CACI) that works on the muscles of the face & Radio Frequency (Mesobiolift) that produces collagen and tightens the skin.  Both machines can be used during the same facial that last 90 minutes.

Luxury Product Facials – We use the finest luxury brand called Germaine de Cappucini, that treat many skin concerns such as dry, stressed, anti-ageing, pigmentation and live acne.

Skin Problems – There are so many skin problems and concerns, such as acne (live acne and acne scarring), stretch marks, pigmentation, rosacea, clogged pores, broken capillaries.

What happens to our face when we age?

As we age our muscles lose their elasticity, they tend to flatten in volume and droop.  The skin stops creating collagen when we reach our 30’s making the skin thinner and deep burrows start to form by the nasolabial fold (mouth and cheek area).  The outer surface of the skin does not regenerate as quickly as we age, so fine wrinkles, age spots and open pore start to form.

MESOBIOLIFT Toning the skin on your face and neck

What is Mesobiolift?

MESOBIOLIFT – is a radio frequency collagen producing skin tightener working on all the layers of the skin.  The radio frequency produces collagen and elastin in the skin, it significantly make the skin firmer and more plump even after the first treatment.  During the treatment a special stem cells cream is applied and infused into the skin using radio frequency waves, some may be familiar with term “collagen wave” facial, which is exactly the same facial.  Mesobiolift can be used on the face, abdomen, buttocks, thighs and arms and the skin tighten effect is long term.

What to expect during the treatment?

During the treatment a special stem cells cream is applied and infused into the skin using radio frequency waves wands.  You will feel a very relaxing heat sensation and at times a mild current.  After the session you will be given a very relaxing facial massage to calm down the muscles and to infuse any surplus cream.

Can I wear make-up straight after and go back to work?

We recommend you waiting a couple of hours for the radio frequency wave to settle down , you may have a healthy glow in the skin and probably feel you don’t need to wear your foundation just yet.  You will also notice that the full effect of the radio frequency take place over-night whilst your skin has has time to really settle, you skin look very radiant first thing in the morning.

How many treatment will I need?

That really depends on your age, condition of your skin and what your expectations are.  The above treatments are courses. We normally recommend a course of one or two treatments a week, depending on how sensitive your skin is to the radio frequency, we recommend you continue your course over 4/6 weeks without a break and then topping up once a month.

Keeping your face youthful requires the same level of care and commitment you have when excising your body at gym, swimming, running or yoga.  We use micro-current and radio frequency to keep your face and neck plump, toned and wrinkle free without you doing the hard work.

I often use the same analogy when explaining our treatments to our clients, it’s the same as if you were working out your body; the more often you go then quicker and better the result, if you only go here and there or have a long break, you will have to start again from the beginning.

Can I have CACI and Mesobiolift together?

CACI and Mesobiolift work very well together, this treatment is one of our most popular anti-ageing facials lasting 90 minutes. CACI is working on the muscles of the face and Mesobiolift is working on the tightening the skin and collagen production. We believe that the two facials compliment each other  the CACI lift will stay in quicker and for longer when used in conjunction with Mesobiolift radio frequency.

Is there any aftercare advice?

We recommend that you leave the serum on your skin for as long as possible, wear factor 50 + sun screen, avoid heat exposure such as hot baths, showers, sauna, stream rooms, sun beds or using any exfoliation products for 24 hours after the CACI Ultrasonic Peel.

Repair skin concerns using Award Winning Dermapen

What is Dermapen?

MICRO-NEEDLING / DERMAPEN – Is a non-surgical procedure. The epidermis outer-most layer of our skin is somewhat thinner than we imagine, therefore repairing it does not need to be so harsh or invasive, like other treatments on the market, such as Derma-roller.   Dermapen is a cartridge pen with 12 micro needles that gently perforate the top layer, don’t worry it is not bloody, messy and painful as it sounds.  Our bodies are amazing on how we self heal.  Dermapen triggers a message to the brain to send repair cells to the surface of the skin.  Dermapen aids your body to heal your skin naturally and permanently.  Dermapen will reduce fine lines and wrinkles, erase pigmentation and liver spots giving you a youthful, fresh even skin tone.  With continuous treatments of Dermapen is can even erase acne, surgical scars and stretch marks.

Does Dermapen hurt?

There is very little discomfort, the sensitive areas tend to me where the areas are not so fleshy ie forehead, we can offer you a numbing cream that is applied 30 minutes before your session.

What to expect during the treatment?

You will feel a slight discomfort as if you were out in the sun for too long. After your treatment a cooling healing mineral mask is applied and the therapist runs a titanium cooling wand over the mask, which is very healing and comforting.  The mask is infused with Zinc and Magnesium to aid the skin’s repair process.

How will I look after the session?

Don’t worry there is no sign of blood, although the facial is also known as the “Vampire Facial”,

You will look and feel as though you have spend too much time in the sun, your skin will appear red, which will settle down in a few hours or the next day at the vary

Can I wear make-up and go out later that evening?

Unlike Derma-roller, there is very little down time with Dermapen.  The skin is vulnerable after Dermapen, so we suggest no make-up, heavy creams, swimming, heat, extreme exercise or be exposed to the sun 24 hours after the treatment.  The skin does settle down after a few hours so going out bare faced in the evening is not a problem.

How often can I have Dermapen?

As Dermapen is triggering your own body to repair the epidermis naturally, it will take weeks for the full results to appear.  How ofter you have Dermapen depends on what we are treating you for, if you were using Dermapen on a light setting to treat pigmentation then that could be performed every fortnight.  For higher settings, such as treating wrinkles we suggest Dermapen once a month.  Like any exercise or beauty treatment, repetition is the key to getting the best result.

Treat dull and clogged pores using Diamond Peel Microdermabrasion

What is Diamond Peel microdermabrasion?

Diamond Peel Microdermabrasion is the most effective and gentlest treatment, yet is a non- surgical procedure, deep exfoliation treatment that removes dead skin cells and impurities from the pores, such as white and black heads using a mild and gentle suction device.  Your skin will appear smoother and have a glowing polished fresh appearance.

Microdermabrasion keeps your skin healthy as it stimulates cell renewal and collagen production.

Does Diamond Peel microdermabrasion hurt?

This is an incredibly popular treatment, best loved for its immediate and long lasting results.  Microdermabrasion is a very relaxing 30 minutes treatment that can be used on all ages and skin types.

How will I look after the session?

You may look a little “flushed” after the treatment, which settles down in a hour or so.  You will look fresher, more youthful and you skin will look brighter even after one session.

Can I wear make-up and go out later that evening?

We recommend waiting at least 5 hours before you apply make-up, you will find that when you apply your make-up after microdermabrasion, your make-up goes on smoother and more evenly.  You will get better use of your skin care products as they can penetrate better without the layer of dead skin acting as a barrier.

How often can I have Diamond Peel Microdermabrasion?

We recommend Microdermabrasion performed monthly to treat congested skin, enlarged pores and dull skin.  If you were looking at using Microdermabrasion to treat wrinkles or pigmentation we recommend every fortnight.

Is there any aftercare advice?

We recommend that you wear factor 50 + sun screen, avoid heat exposure such as hot baths, showers, sauna, stream rooms, sun beds or using any exfoliation products for 24 hours after Diamond Peel Microdermabrasion.

Treat skin complaints and concern using IPL (Intense pulsed light)

What is IPL?

IPL is a commonly used, non-invasive treatment, that can be used for many skin complaints and concerns. IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light, which uses a range of wavelengths through a crystal head handset, targeting either haemoglobin (blood cells) or Melanin (pigment) in the skin, depending on what treatment is being performed.  The IPL light is absorbed into the cells (haemoglobin or pigment) and dissipated throughout the lymphatic system over time.

IPL Photo-rejuvenation, is also know as photo-facial and can be used to treat brown liver spots, sun spots, red broken capillaries, hyper-pigmentation, open pores, rosacea, most blemishes.  It is commonly used in the beauty industry, renowned for giving your skins a clear healthy complexions and youthful appearance.

Does IPL hurt?

I would say you will feel microseconds of zapping which may feel a little uncomfortable but definitely not hurt. Most of our clients say that they experience the same sensation as if you were flicked gently with a rubber band during the session.  You may feel some heat sensation too.

What do I expect during the session?

You and your therapist will be wearing special protective glasses during your session.  A clear gel will be applied to the area to be treated.  The IPL machine can be used for many different types of treatments, so the correct handset is selected and the correct wavelength settings are programmed depending on what treatment is being performed.

The therapist will be using a handset that has a clear crystal panel that is gently pressed on the skin in sections on the area to be treated; a beam of light flashes every time the handset releases the light pulse, hence why the protective glasses must be worn during treatment.  The sessions can vary according to what area is being treated, the face normally takes around 30-40 minutes.

How will I look after the session?

You may look a little “flushed” after the treatment, which settles down in a hour or so.  You will look fresher, more youthful and you skin will look brighter even after one session.

For some skin conditions such as red thread veins and pigmentations, the colour may intensify before it fades away.

Can I wear make-up straight after and go back to work?

There is absolutely no down-time with IPL, hence why it such a popular treatment. We recommend you waiting a couple of hours for the IPL wavelengths to settle down, you skin may have a healthy flushed red glow. You will also notice that the full effect of the IPL take place over 3-5 days whilst your skin has had time to really settle.

How often can I have IPL?

For the best results we suggest having IPL done monthly without missing any months in between.

How many treatments will I need?

It depends on what you are being treated for, on average our clients are treated 3-5 times, having one session per month.

Is there any aftercare I should be aware of?

We strongly advise not to be exposed to sun light during the course of your treatments and to always use a good quality SPF 50+ sun block.  We recommend that you don’t have a hot bath, hot shower, do any swimming because of the chlorine and no heavy exercise on the same day of your treatment.

We recommend that you do your course of IPL treatments during the Autumn and Winter months.
