Caci Led Live Acne Treatments in Brighton, East Sussex

Caci Led Blue Light Therapy

What is CACI LED ?

The application of LED light as a treatment therapy is termed ‘Phototherapy’ derived from the measurement of light energy in units of photons.  Light energy is in every nerve, cell, gland and muscle of the body and each emits its own unique frequency vibration. When the body becomes out of balance (due to age, health, environment, lifestyle or other external factors) the frequency vibration within the cells is affected and this disruption can lead to signs of ageing, skin conditions, illness and disease. Each colour wavelength of light has a specific and unique frequency vibration. Specific light wavelengths have a bio stimulatory action on the cells and so can be used to effectively normalise cellular imbalances and treat certain skin conditions.

What causes Acne?

Acne can appear anywhere on your body, but wherever it occurs and however severe it may be, acne is caused by a disorder of your sebaceous glands. Your sebaceous glands carry out a process that is important to the health of your skin which involves the production of a substance called sebum which keeps your skin moisturised. As a natural part of our development most people find that during their adolescence their sebaceous glands can become enlarged and their sebaceous glands will produce more sebum. This occurs due to the body producing a variety of hormones which are sometimes referred to as androgens, however generally after around the age of 20 this excessive production of sebum begins to decrease.

What to expect during your treatment?

LED comes in two colour wavelength, Red LED is used to treat cell production used for rejuvenation and anti-ageing properties.   Blue LED is used for anti bacterial and anti-inflammatory (live acne).  The treatment is non-invasive and totally pain-free lasting 45 minutes to an hour.  You could have the CACI LED Blue on it’s own or used in conjunction with our Germaine de Cappucini Purexpert Products. In some cases we may recommend you finishing off your CACI LED treatment with a healing for cooling hydrating mask

What is the difference between Healing and Cooling Masks?

A healing mask is cotton mask infused with vital minerals for the skin such as Zinc and Magnesium to aid the skin’s repair process where the skin is sore and wounded with open spots; the therapist runs a titanium cooling wand over the mask, which is very healing and comforting.

The Cooling mask is silicon mask infused with rose water and ideal for cooling and hydrating the skin; these masks are ideal for all CACI facial treatments.

How will I look after the session?

Although the treatment is painless, you may experience some sensitivity afterwards.  You may be a little flushed for a few hours and in some cases slight redness, which clears after a few hours.

How many treatment will I need?

That really depends on the condition of your skin; it’s almost impossible to predict skin concerns relating to hormonal imbalances.  All CACI treatments are courses. We recommend a course of 6 – 9 treatments of CACI LED performed weekly.  We may advise you to have a monthly maintenance treatment.

Can I wear make-up straight after and go back to work?

Of course you can return to work as normal. We recommend you not wearing make-up if the skin has live acne as it will agitate live acne and prolong the healing process.

Is there any aftercare advice?

We should all choose a healthy diet and drink plenty of water, especially when you suffer from problem skin complaints.  We recommend that you wear factor 50 + sun screen, avoid heat exposure such as hot baths, showers, sauna, stream rooms, sun beds or using any exfoliation products for 24 hours after any CACI LED treatment.

Can I have CACI if I already have Fillers or Botox?

Yes you can as long as you wait 2 weeks after your Botox and a month after you have had your filler.

Is CACI for everyone?

CACI is not for everyone, If you are Pregnant, Pacemaker, Cancer, Diabetic, Thrombosis, diabetes (except diabetes controlled by medication) Allergic to metal & Silicone, Heart conditions, Epilepsy, Inflammation, Varicose Veins & High Blood Pressure. If you have a tumour, a heart condition, if you have any metal plates and pins, or if you have any current infections.
